ETFC Spring BBQ at Spring Lake

  • by

Please come join us at the Lake for a day of fun, sharing and fishing. Corn-on-the-Cob, potatoes and condiments will be supplied by the Club. All you need to bring are some chairs, beverages, your meat of choice, and your plates, utensils, etc. We welcome contributions for the “pot-luck” community table to share with everyone, such as salads, veggies, buns or desserts. We would encourage you to take advantage of the full day at the Lake and do some fishing prior to or after the BBQ. There will be games starting at Noon for the kids. Also, some experienced fly fishers will be willing to give some instruction or pointers on fly casting to less experienced members – if interested, bring your gear. The BBQ grills will be fired up at 3pm to cook your meat. Bring your loved ones and enjoy a day out with your fellow Club members. If you will be bringing children, please RSVP to Krysta with their ages to jcb2101@hotmail.com or call 780-289-7652. We look forward to seeing you there!

Annual Members Night

  • by

This meeting is the Club’s Annual Members Night, where we wrap up the year’s meeting schedule before changing our focus to enjoying the outdoor, vacation, and fishing opportunities that the summer allows. Besides the normal Members Night meeting components of a wrap-up of the past year from your out-going Executive, and the passing of the gavel to the incoming Executive, there will be the Members Night Pot-Luck Buffet tables. As in previous years, members are asked to bring contributions for the food and dessert tables – and to share in conversation with other members while enjoying the food/refreshments. The program portion of the evening will feature an update from the Fisheries Management folks from AESRD on the latest fishing news, happenings, projects, and plans for 2015. Don’t miss our traditional final meeting of the Club’s 2015 Winter-Spring program.
