Annual General Meeting

  • by

Attention All Trout Club Members

We hope you are having a great winter ice fishing your favorite lakes!

We will be having our first AGM meeting on Tuesday, February 21 at 7pm. At Queen Mary Park hall 10844-117st NW

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDER. WE WILL BE HAVING A COUPLE VOTES,

SO PLEASE TRY AND MAKE THE MEETING IN PERSON.

The meeting is also available on Zoom

Call For Volunteers:

Our club is 100% run by volunteers and continues through the support of members. With some board members completing their term we again have the opportunity for anyone interested in joining the team. The time commitment is low with our club executive meeting on average about once a month. You will be able to participate in shaping both operational and governance support with fellow executive members. For your service to our club members, you will receive an honorarium of having your membership to both the ETFC and the AFGA paid as well as having fun. If you are thinking about this but have questions, to put your name forward or to recommend someone you feel may be interested please reach out to Ron Storrier at fisher.man@tic.ab.ca

Here is an example of the job duties of one director:

My latest job title is “Fund Raising Coordinator” but really, I am more of an activity coordinator. I make sure that the refreshment cooler is stocked so that members can have a soft drink and perhaps a nibble at our in-person meetings, and at club events. I also help setup and man the booth we have at the sportsman show every year. I’m also available for odd jobs like site cleanup and minor repairs at the property at spring lake, or putting in or pulling out the dock. My duties don’t take up much time, and are not onerous.
