The annual Christmas Brunch is the Club’s main social event of the year. This year it is scheduled for Sunday December 10thand is being held at our usual location at the Executive Royal Inn West located at 100 Ave and 178 Street in West Edmonton. Doors to our “private function” room (Emerald Room A south off the Buffet area) open at 10:00am and the Brunch Buffet food gets set out by around 10:15am. Folks will seat themselves (first come, first serve) at a number of large round tables typically seating 8 or 9 folks (depends on attendance).
Treat yourself and your significant other, and even the whole family, to one of the best Brunch Buffet’s in the city (award winning). It is a great opportunity to visit and get better acquainted with some other Club members in a casual, pleasant and fun atmosphere. The Brunch is always a good time where you can catch up on things with old friends and make new ones, while enjoying good eats, good company, and good conversation. And after filling up on the great variety of yummy food available, enjoy the opportunity to draw one of the door prizes, and join in the Brunch Raffle prize draws – there are usually lots of Raffle prizes and there are always some folks who get lucky and go home with more than one prize! Members are encouraged to make the Raffle better by donating items (new or gently used) to the Prize table – your contributions are very much appreciated.
If you are a new member or a member who has not yet taken the opportunity to attend a Christmas Brunch, you really should give it a try – you may well chose to become one of the “regulars”! Best thing is to contact Ron to get additional information – he welcomes your call (780-469-8614).
Your checklist on arriving is to: sign-in at the Registration Desk at the entrance; pick up your Door Prizes Draw Ticket; buy your Brunch Raffle Tickets (don’t forget to bring cash – raffle tickets are available in bunches for $5, $10, $15, $20 – the more you buy, the cheaper they are per ticket) ; if contributing to the prize table, drop off your donation(s) at the desk; choose your table and settle into your seats (coat racks at the back of the room); introduce yourself to others as needed; at your leisure, check out the Buffet and have at it! There will be a short Club Business segment that will get underway sometime near Noon; the Raffles get underway thereafter, starting around 12:30 pm. Attendees are welcome to stick around after the raffles to enjoy more visiting and conversation with other folks (until around 2:30 pm).
Pre-registration and pre-payment are required, and are being handled by Ron Sohnle. Specific advance commitment of those attending is required by the hotel to reserve the private function room and have it set up for us. The Registration Form is attached and contains all the information you need about the Brunch, the costs and making payment.
Payments are to be sent to Ron, and cheques must be made out payable to Ron Sohnle (not the ETFC). Please give Ron a call to inform him of your plans to attend so he can add you to the Attendee List. And call to get info on any questions you need answered before making a final decision to come or not. We suggest you print 2 copies of the Registration Form. Keep one copy for information that you will want to have on hand when coming to the Brunch in December. Fill out the second copy asap and get it and your payment into the mail right away. Or you can give your envelope containing your completed registration form and payment to Ron at the Tuesday November 21st Club Meeting.
