Spring Update

Well Spring has begun and we are currently experiencing some warmer temperatures. I hope you have been getting out on the ice for some fishing or are busy tying flies and maintaining fishing gear for the upcoming fly fishing season.

I have had a few reports that the fishing at Spring Lake has been fairly slow lately which is typical for mid winter it seems. If you have had some success please let us know about it and if you’re on the lake please try to see that all 4 aerators are operational.

We have decide to restrict access to the lake by vehicle until the frost comes out of the ground and begins to dry up a little, so we do not cause ruts and damage to the property. We have installed a new lock that will not open with existing keys, for the time being. Once the property dries up we will implement the new combination lock.
for those of you who have not renewed your membership, will need to do so.
Then we will email the new combination lock #.
See you all soon out at the lake.

ETFC Spring BBQ at Spring Lake

Please come join us at the Lake for a day of fun, sharing and fishing. Corn-on-the-Cob, potatoes and condiments will be supplied by the Club. All you need to bring are some chairs, beverages, your meat of choice, and your plates, utensils, etc. We welcome contributions for the “pot-luck” community table to share with everyone, such as salads, veggies, buns or desserts. We would encourage you to take advantage of the full day at the Lake and do some fishing prior to or after the BBQ. There will be games starting at Noon for the kids. Also, some experienced fly fishers will be willing to give some instruction or pointers on fly casting to less experienced members – if interested, bring your gear. The BBQ grills will be fired up at 3pm to cook your meat. Bring your loved ones and enjoy a day out with your fellow Club members. If you will be bringing children, please RSVP to Krysta with their ages to jcb2101@hotmail.com or call 780-289-7652. We look forward to seeing you there!
